We’re Connecting California – See Our Updated Coverage Area Map

MLSListings is connecting California. How? By providing our subscribers with property listing data for over 30 counties (and counting) and connecting you to more than 100,000 real estate professionals in the Golden State.

In addition to the five MLSListings counties, our coverage spans across the state via our data share and reciprocal access partnerships with numerous Multiple Listing Services (MLSs) throughout California.

DATA SHARE VS. RECIPROCAL ACCESS

A data share is an agreement between two MLSs, where they exchange listing data between them. For instance, MLSListings has a data share agreement with Southern California’s TheMLS, as we announced earlier this year. As an MLSListings subscriber, you can see Los Angeles County property listings from TheMLS, and vice-versa. Your searches will return listings from MLSListings and TheMLS, and your listings in MLSListings will be visible to professionals who use TheMLS.

When two MLSs have a data share agreement, they also share Internet Data Exchange (IDX) data. This means that when a consumer goes to a website belonging to a professional from MLSListings, they could be able to search listings not just from MLSListings, but also from any other MLSs with which MLSListings shares data, if the vendor is providing all the data share listings.

Reciprocal access, on the other hand, allows single-sign on from MLSListings to another MLS system and enables our subscribers to view property listing data and post listings. For example, the reciprocal access agreement between MLSListings and the San Francisco Association of REALTORS® allows you to both view and post listings for San Francisco.
