It’s hard to believe another new year is underway, and with it comes the opportunity to dream big and set a course for attaining that success you envision. Here at MLSListings, we are always looking at ways to support your efforts by bringing new resources that add real value for our subscribers. Broker Source is one channel in which we hope to continue providing information and education about how you can build your business.
Over the coming months, this column will be devoted to two objectives:
1. Providing practical, step-by-step ideas for improving your business
2. Providing a forum to address what we’re hearing from you
On the first point, we recognize that you have a full plate in running your brokerage, managing your agents, strategizing about ways to capitalize on the market, and staying on top of industry news and trends. We hope to help you by collecting the best practices of your top-performing peers in one central place, and focusing on a single strategy each month that can help you advance your business forward. These ideas are not abstract, pie-in-the-sky concepts, but rather real-world solutions based on the experiences of day-to-day practitioners with clear steps for implementing them. We hope you’ll try these and share your success stories that can inspire others.
The second aspect of this column will be related to our commitment to really listen to our member subscribers. We will be actively soliciting input from you about everything from services and tools you need to insights on the market. Last month we distributed three surveys about off-market listings and they generated a tremendous response.
Subscribers are very passionate about this topic on both sides of the issue, and the comments we received indicate this is a real hot-button issue – you can view and participate in the ongoing discussion on our Portal. We will also be providing an opportunity to have direct access to MLSListings staff as well as your peers through our blog, and we are planning to host town halls and consumer forums for in-person opportunities to discuss important topics.
