Matrix 5.7 September Configuration Note

MLSListings, Inc. has completed a series of configurations to MLSListings Matrix Search in September 2011:

Enhanced Photo Display to show larger photos in the Photo Wheel

Recently we implemented the ability to store property photos with higher resolution in Listing Management (each photo at 640×480 pixels). Now the majority of active listings in the system are retaining the higher quality photos and we have updated the Matrix interface to display these photos in the photo gallery.  The photo gallery is accessible from all Displays by clicking the View Photos icon in any search results page or from any Client Portal page.

Property History Display updated for better readability

The Property History Display is accessible from the rollout button at the bottom of each Agent Full display/flyer, and by clicking the Property History icon from different displays. The project team made configuration updates to make historical events in Matrix property history easier to read. Note that Matrix tracks 3 types of events in property history: Status changes, List Price changes, and Sale Price at COE. When a listing first comes to market, Matrix will register 2 events in the property history – Status A for Active, and List $ amount. During the life of the listing, Matrix will track list price changes showing the Old Value and New Value; as well as any Status changes showing the Old Status and New Status. When a property goes to COE, Matrix will again register 2 events in the property history – Status S for Sold, and Sale $ amount.

Additional “Jump To” options in Map Search

In the Map Search function, the “Jump To” list helps users select an area of focus quickly, from which they can mark geographical search criteria. This list now includes additional choices – San Mateo, San Benito, Monterey – all the counties served by MLSListings. Map Search is accessible from any Search screen in a button located within the Location section.

Enhanced Tabular Statistics (Released on 9/27/2011)

Matrix Tabular Statistics has been enhanced to show summaries (averages and sums where applicable) on additional data points, including: List Price, DOM, Sale Price, Building Square Feet, Lot Size, and Price per Square Foot. Users can select from a set of four display summaries: Basic, By Market Area, By Status and Price, By Status and Type. To access, simply click on the Stats button at the bottom of the Search Results and select Tabular. With this change, our project team has also increased the Count on the Fly to show up to 2500 search results. This way, users can view market activity on a broader basis when selecting filters for their Stats. Note that other functions (Export, Sort, Report, etc.) still have maximum limits that are different from Stats. For more information on leveraging Matrix Stats, please take a Training course or review the Training section.

Enhancements to Advanced Search selection list  (Released on 9/29/2011)

The Advanced Search list has been refined to show clearer labels and groupings.  Examples include: Elementary School (Picklist) is the field that users can choose if they want to select schools from a list of schools grouped by county, all Baths fields are grouped together for easier selection (Baths – Full, Baths – Partial, Baths – Total), renamed HOA Fee from Association Fee, removed a number of duplicate or system-internal fields, and users may also select from a number of City choices (City – MLS, City – Postal).

Enhancements to Display/ Reports and Agent/ Office Displays (Coming soon!)

We continue to improve the Displays and Reports in Matrix. Soon these updates will be complete: HOA Fee field will not show a $ sign if the field is empty, links to Agent and Office will pull up more information about the Agent or Office, and in the Agent/Office roster the listed website will be linked to open the website. In addition, adjusting the Quick CMA Report to display the COE Date instead of the LOE – this adjustment is being made at the request of many users who tell us that indexing comparables by the COE Date is more important. Finally, many displays have been adjusted to show the full Broker Code (some of which the Broker Code and Branch Number combination can be up to 15 characters) where needed.

Please consider adding the ability to enter a radius number like”1″ for one mile in mapping in addition to the radius drag. I found it very convenient in pro.
PS. The more I use matrix, the more I like it. Really like carts.

Thanks Jeff we’ll pass this suggestion on to our technical teams. Glad to see you getting acclimated to Matrix and learning how beneficial it can be!
