Strong Authentication
Strong Authentication (SA) is an important part of security on MLS Listings. SA not only protects your account from unwanted access, but it also allows other important benefits that can be easily overlooked. Without the verification provided by Strong Authentication, we are unable to grant you access to other MLS boards, like Paragon or MetroList.
SA Enrollment
If you are a new member, upon your initial Sign In, you will be taken through the SA Enrollment process. There are a few quick steps to complete during this process.
The first step in the SA Enrollment process, is to confirm your User ID (DRE#). Please double-check your DRE# to make sure that it is accurate. If you decide to skip past this step, and there is an error in your DRE#, future Sign In attempts may fail. Once you have confirmed your DRE#, press Continue to move onto the next page.
The second part of SA Enrollment involves setting up a password for your account. Guidelines for creating your password are provided on the page. Your password is Case Sensitive, so please be sure to have your Caps Lock key set properly. This password will last for about 6 months (180 days) before it expires.
When you are finished creating your password, press Continue. The system will let you know if the password has not been accepted. Your password has to be accepted before you can move onto the next page.
Strong Authentication requires that you create a set of 4 validation questions and answers (Q&A). The Q&A is used to help verify your identity, and it can also help you out if you ever forget your password in the future. While this is not a replacement for your password, answering these questions confirms your identity with our system so that you can create a new password.
You can set up the Q&A during the SA Enrollment. Choose 4 questions from the drop-down menus, then provide your answers to the right of each question. Please remember that when you are asked these questions in the future, the system will need you to provide the answers exactly as you have them entered on this page. Spaces and punctuation count as part of your answer. It is best to keep your answers as simple as possible. If the color of your first car is “forest green”, it is probably easier to answer with “green”. Also, the system will not accept duplicate questions or answers.
When you are finished, press Continue. The system will let you know if there are any corrections to make before it goes to the next page.
Although, the One-Time Password (OTP) is optional, it is a nice feature to have. Security questions are fine, but just like passwords, it is also possible to forget the answers to your questions.
If you chose to provide your Cell Phone number, OTP can provide another way for you to access MLS Listings. OTP is designed to send a temporary password to your Cell Phone in the event that you have forgotten your password.
If you choose to enter your Cell Phone, please enter only the numbers. The system will complete everything else. Otherwise, press Continue in the Without Cell Phone Number section to complete the SA Enrollment process.
Press Continue to complete the SA Enrollment process. The system will now begin to log you in.
