Error 20006 – Maximum Security Violation

Error 20006 – Maximum Security Violation: This error appears when the security hits exceed the allowed number of attempts and are caused by the following scenarios:

1. Communication problems when executing searches and for some reason the search does not complete.

2. You have entered  the incorrect User ID and Password combination and the errors have accrued to exceed the allowable number of incorrect logins.

3. Someone else has attempted to login to the user’s software which would accrue the hits described in number 2 above.

To resolve this issue the HomeWorks Serial Number would need to be reset by calling Customer Service at 866-734-5787 or 408-874-0250. Please call during our normal business hours and provide the Serial Number and User ID.

If you do not know the Serial Number of the HomeWorks program, please follow the steps below:

1. Open HomeWorks and click on Help

2. Then click on About

3. The Serial Number should appear under Registered Owner
