Reverse Prospecting

Click Here for a Printable Version

Reverse Prospecting allows a listing agent to view a prospecting Agent or Broker’s information that has an automated email that contains the listing agent’s specific listing. All prospect information in Matrix is confidential.

The results that appear will display the prospecting agent’s name, email address, office name, office phone number and the number of listings (including yours) that are within the email alert. It will not show the clients information for the auto email alert.

If you are the prospecting agent setting up an email alert, you will be automatically opted in to share your information.. If you are setting up an email alert for yourself, such as a Hotsheet for market intelligence, then you may choose to unselect the “Enable Reverse Prospecting” so that your information is not shared.

How to Access Reverse Prospecting

  1. Click on My Matrix.
  2. Click on My Listings.
  3. Choose My On Market Listings.
  4. Select a listing on the left side, and then click Reverse Prospect.

How it Works

If the Result Count is a low number, then potentially you have a greater chance of the prospect being interested in your property. For example, if the Result Count is 2, then that means the prospects auto email has yours and one other listing in their email alert.

If the Result Count is a high number, then you may have a lesser chance of the prospect being interested in your property. Example, if the Result Count is 162, then that means the prospects auto email alert has yours and 161 other listings in their email alert.

Settings for the Prospecting Agent

When setting up the email alert, under Settings, the box Make available for Reverse Prospecting should be automatically checked. If you choose not to be contacted, uncheck the box.
